MediaWire, a Montreal-based digital magazine and app producer, is  launching its MediaWire Mobile product, which sets its sights squarely on the mid- to smaller-market publisher with, says MediaWire CEO Cliff Hoffer, a simplified pricing plan. A new app from a Montreal company called MediaWire turns your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch into a device that can publish books, magazine or newspapers. It's similar in concept to Apple's Newsstand and the popular Zinio app, but MediaWire offers a quicker, easier and less costly publishing solution. You log on to a secure web portal, upload a PDF file and the publication will be live within the MediaWire app. If the publication is free, it'll take under an hour to be published.
